His creativity and passion for music came alive in
1976 inspired by the movie "Sparkle".
Mr. Dilligard says "It was as if being reborn.
My entire soul was
catapulted into the universe".
Russell is a spiritual individual that as a young man played tenor saxophone and went on to pursue acting and a modeling career.
His overwhelming desire to spread quality Black music lead to the development of "Sparkle Records".
Together with his songwriting partner Liz Manigo "Sparkle Records" mission is to "...bring fun, magic and excitement back to the music business".
Growing up in the '70s & '80s Russell was inspired by the sounds of that era and is on a mission of excellence for the 21st. Century.
